When October started my goal was to run every day for just a couple of miles and on days when I needed it to go run more; however, life seems to keep getting in the way. The fact is I haven’t ran in nine days before this weekend and I was feeling it. If I don’t run for a while, I start to get anxious, but recently I have had a permanent feeling of being sore even which is odd. Anyway, I was definitely all that and tired when I got back from teaching a lab school, but I after a nap I was ready to tackle the run. Today was really relaxing day, including sleeping in late and just hanging around until it was time to go run. I was sore from yesterday and I wasn’t sure how many miles I would get in today, but I was surprised how well I was able to push through to gain another ten mile run today. With the weekend at its end, I was able to get in a total of twenty miles for this weekend, and this gets me back in the game for my second upcoming marathon. I was hoping to be much further along in my training for my second marathon, but I am just feeling good and looking forward to crossing the finish line again. Next weekend I am going to go for a twenty miler in one sitting, so wish me luck.
