I have made an ultimate sacrifice (in a photographic sense) by giving away my D60 to my brother, ridding myself of my first and only DSLR. I have been battling a photography slump for the past two years, and I am looking to shake things up. Shooting film SLR cameras has had a certain nostalgic appeal and I hope it helps recapture my photographic zeal. I have a small collection of various hand-me-downs that I am playing with.
This morning I went around for two hours and shot 48 frames of film on Fuji 400 film. I had such a good time and the annoying inability to know immediately what the results were.
I want to learn how to use the cameras in my charge. I want to improve as a photographer. When my skills have improved themselves significantly will I consider a new purchase. Here are a few examples of today’s effort with my mobile phone.
On that note, I wish everyone a very Happy New Year, I have a feeling that 2014 will be an interesting year.
